bni signs a MoU with Nasmaakum

Bahrain National Insurance Company B.S.C. (c) (bni), Bahrain’s leading local insurance company, announce the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the sign language mobile application ‘Nasmaakum’.

The innovative and revolutionary mobile application was developed by Invita, a leading provider of Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and digital transformation solutions, to empower those who primarily communicate through sign language by providing a real-time sign language interpretation services through video calls.

Recognizing the unique needs and challenges faced by the deaf community, this MoU aims to bridge the accessibility gap by offering inclusive services and supports bni’s ongoing efforts to improve its customer experience and strengthen its community engagement. The ‘Nasmaakum’ application will allow customers with speech and hearing impairments to effectively communicate their insurance requirements, making bni the first insurance company in the Kingdom of Bahrain to offer such services.
